class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n<p>How do you improve mine efficiency by standardising load and haul equipo when the flota includes a diversity of machines and accessories?<\/p>\n\n<p>It\u2019s a challenge that calls for a non-standard solution.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>In a recent example, the Schlam team worked with a Tier 1 miner in Australia to resize existing excavator buckets and custom design new buckets for their large flota of 400 tonne class hydraulic excavators.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>In the process, they increased payload capacity by up to 7.5%, reduced the variation in sizes used and extended the life of these assets. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>This all contributed directly to improved mining output, lower operating costs and machine downtime.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eb84744 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"eb84744\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The Challenge: Diverse Excavator Flotas and Undercarga Risk<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4ca6950 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4ca6950\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The miner was operating two different excavator models and four different sized buckets across two sites.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Payload studies showed that over the mine life, the material densities of the ore extracted had declined resulting in less payload for the same volume.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This contributed to an increased risk of undercarga.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-befdac4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"befdac4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Resizing Excavator Buckets to Increase Payload<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b0d4b4d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b0d4b4d\" redesign the buckets used by both excavators to a larger, consistent size, standardise the lip and GET for better inventory management and minimise downtime for mantenimiento and overhaul cycles.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6753289 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"6753289\" elementor-size-default\">The Barracuda T2 Bucket Design<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-560c090 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"560c090\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Schlam team developed customised\u00a0<a id=\"https:\/\/dev.splotch.com.au\/es\/payload\/cucharones-mineros-barracuda\/barracuda-t2\/\" href=\"https:\/\/dev.splotch.com.au\/es\/payload\/cucharones-mineros-barracuda\/barracuda-t2\/\" type=\"link\">Barracuda T2<\/a>\u00a0designs which are up to 15% lighter than a standard accessory.
